Jest również wstecznie kompatybilny z 4G (LTE Cat 19), dzięki czemu idealnie nadaje się do przyszłościowych rozwiązań sieci przemysłowych.

Jeśli chodzi o obsługę protokołów, router komórkowy RUTM55 5G szczyci się wszechstronnością. Obsługiwane protokoły przemysłowe obejmują MQTT, Modbus, DNP3, OPC UA i wiele innych. Ten router 5G obsługuje również NTRIP, co pozwala na większą precyzję danych śledzenia lokalizacji dzięki obsłudze GNSS, w tym GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, Galileo i QZSS.
